DNA Genotek Names New Chief Financial Officer
September 9, 2010. DNA Genotek, a leading provider of products for biological sample collection, stabilization and preparation, today announced Patrick Walsh has been named chief financial officer. Reporting directly to the president and chief executive officer of DNA Genotek, Walsh will be responsible for the company's finance, information services, human resources, legal and facilities organizations.
Walsh brings nearly 30 years experience in financial, operations and general management in the technology sector, including 25 years at Nortel, which he joined in 1985. He has experience in both large and small business units, managing in complex, fast-paced environments and establishing scalable, cost-effective processes and controls. Prior to joining DNA Genotek, Walsh served as general manager of Nortel's ATM switching division, a market leading and highly profitable product portfolio. He began his career in 1981 in finance at Thorne Riddell, Canada's largest accounting firm at that time. Walsh is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.
