The mission of the DNA Bank and Tissue Repository at the CHG is to continue to provide genetic sample processing and storage that sets the national standard for such facilities.

Genetic sample management, biobanking, nucleic acid extractions and quantitation, microsatellite and SNP genotyping (including TaqMan, Beckman SNPStream and Illumina), DNA sequencing, Quantitative Methylation Analysis (including Pyrosequencing), project consultation and design. Services are performed utilizing high throughput robotics, a state of the art Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in a facility accredited by the College of American Pathologists.

Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research
Genomics project-related collaborations and techniques including genomic DNA and RNA preparation, DNA sequencing (targeted and high-throughput), gene expression analysis (using real time PCR and Illumina arrays), and high-throughput genotyping (using Illumina arrays, TaqMan assays, and microsatellite genotyping).  The Genetics Core Lab is part of the Department of Genetics which offers expertise in all aspects of conducting genetic and genomic studies of complex disease.

University of Pennsylvania Molecular Diagnosis and Genotyping Facility
The Facility provides sample preparation, assay design, lab work, and initial data analysis for a variety of SNP genotyping platforms including custom TaqMan, Beckman SNPstream, and Illumina GoldenGate, as well as whole-genome genotyping by Illumina Infinium and Affymetrix GeneChip systems.  Diagnostic testing with DNA or RNA-based assays are developed and performed for clinical research applications.

The Centre for Integrated Genomic Medical Research (CIGMR)
CIGMR offers study design, sample collection, processing and storage using state of the art equipment and developed and tested techniques and processes backed by a high commitment to quality through ISO 9001/2000 accreditation.

CIGMR also provides expertise in areas such as genetic study design and data analysis, ethics committee applications, and bioinformatics. Comprehensive high-throughput laboratory facilities including a range of genotyping platforms, DNA sequencing, DNA extraction and archiving, mutation screening, microarray transcriptomics, SNP discovery and HLA tissue typing. The Centre enters into both academic research collaborations and works with industry on a service basis.
