SNP Genotyping of Saliva and DNA using Affymetrix® GeneChip® Targeted Genotyping System (pdf) Saliva DNA that is extracted with Oragene•DNA performs equivalent to or better than blood extracted DNA when used in the Affymetrix Targeted Genotyping assay. Detection of LDL receptor mutations by PCR, PCR-RFLP and Southern analysis (pdf) Oragene•DNA is a non-invasive method of collecting DNA from saliva and gives the same results as DNA from blood for the analysis of mutations in the LDL receptor gene by PCR, PCR-RFLP and Southern analysis. Oragene•DNA and DNA sequencing with ABI PRISM® (pdf) DNA from Oragene•DNA is reliably sequenced using the ABI PRISM 377 DNA Sequencer. Oragene•DNA is compatible with TaqMan® SNP genotyping (pdf) DNA collected with Oragene•DNA works well with TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assays. SNPs in the thymidylate synthetase and apolipoprotein E genes were reliably detected. Oragene•DNA and Whole Genome Amplification with GenomiPhi(pdf) DNA collected with Oragene•DNA is successfully amplified using the GenomiPhi DNA Amplification Kit and has the potential to generate near-unlimited quantities of DNA for downstream experiments. Oragene•DNA is ideal for long-range PCR (pdf) For long-range PCR, DNA from Oragene•DNA is equal in performance to DNA isolated from blood. SNP genotyping of Oragene•DNA with SNPstream ® (pdf) Genomic DNA collected from saliva with Oragene•DNA is successfully genotyped with the SNPstream Genotyping System, and gives the same results as DNA isolated from whole blood. Oragene•DNA™ and GenomePlex® Whole Genome Amplification (pdf) DNA collected with Oragene•DNA™ is successfully amplified using the GenomePlex® Kit, thus creating a renewable source of DNA for downstream experiments. Oragene•DNA™ and REPLI-g® Whole Genome Amplification (pdf) DNA collected with Oragene•DNA™ is successfully amplified using the Qiagen REPLI-g® Kit. 10 ng of starting template generates about 40 µg of amplifi ed DNA for downstream experiments. Comprehensive Gene Sequence Analysis from Bloodspot and Saliva DNA (pdf) DNA yield from 250 µl of saliva is similar to yield from 1 ml of whole blood, and resulted in similar performance with the Ambry Genetics TTGE and sequencing protocols.
